Doodles' missing tooth.
Look closely at Doodles' mouth: on the left side of this picture, her gums are stuck. When I decided to keep her and took her to the vet, I asked the vet to check and make sure it wasn't a tumor or something messing up her lip. The vet carefully inspected her lip--and opened her mouth a little wider--and noticed that Doodles is missing one of her four big canine teeth! That's why her lip gets stuck--there's no tooth on top there to hold it down. Now we know Doodles really was a fighter, and some animal is walking around with Doodles' tooth stuck in him or her.
